Investment: 46 thousand jobs provided by the General Free Zone in Alexandria
A source at the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones said that the general free zone in Alexandria governorate provides about 46 thousand jobs.
The source added, for the "seventh day", the number of factories operating 393 projects with a capital of about $ 4.6 billion.
The source pointed out that the investment costs of factories amounted to about 10.5 billion dollars, an area of 1353 acres, revealing that the total exports last year amounted to 5.2 billion dollars, especially since the area is not far from the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila only 20 kilometers, and 12 kilometers away from International Coastal Road.
On the most important economic activities in the region, the source said, rice, textile industry, ready-made garments, chemical and petroleum industries and electrical appliances.
