Internet companies in the European Union are accused of violating rules of neutrality

A number of NGOs, academics and private companies have revealed that although the rules of Internet neutrality have been in force in the EU since 2016, European Internet service providers are already breaking the rules.

Earlier this week, the group – composed of 45 entities from 15 countries – sent an open letter to the EU authorities expressing concern that European Internet companies have breached the rules of net neutrality and local regulators have ignored their behavior.

According to the site Zdnet The message was sent while the European authorities were in the midst of negotiations on the new rules of net neutrality, as these negotiations are now being conducted behind closed doors with national telecommunication regulators.
