"The committee agreed in principle to the budgets of the Ministries of Culture and Antiquities, the press and media bodies, the Higher Council for Media Regulation, the National Press Authority and the National Media Authority for the next financial year," said Osama Heikal, head of the committee.

Heikal said in a statement to the "seventh day" that the committee will conclude a report containing a number of recommendations related to maximizing the revenues of those bodies next week, and will be sent to the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives immediately after completion, in preparation for submission to the plenary later.
