Information Authority: A steady rise in the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Morocco
The State Information Service [SIS] confirmed that the economic relations between Egypt and Morocco have developed clearly in recent years, adding that there has been a continuous increase in the volume of trade exchange between them since the agreement to establish the joint high committee between the two countries came into force.
In its book entitled "Egypt and the Kingdom of Morocco", the Information Authority said that the free trade agreement between the two countries was signed in 1998, which came into force on April 29, 1999 and stipulated the establishment of a free trade area between them within a period of 12 years Implementation.
She pointed out that the indicators of the development of economic relations between the two countries, the volume of trade exchange between them from 389 million dollars in 2008 to 526 million dollars in 2010 and 800 to 900 million dollars in 2018, stressing that Egypt is working to continue to strengthen trade relations with Morocco and settle any Trade problems both within bilateral framework and under the Agadir Free Trade Agreement, which includes Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan and Lebanon.
