Industrial Control: Conduct 4589 inspection campaign on factories to follow up quality
Ibrahim Al Manastri, head of the Industrial Control Department, said that during the first four months of this year, the Authority conducted 4589 inspection campaigns on factories to follow up on their compliance with quality standards of boilers and thermal machines, as well as conducting 7787 specialized technical studies including 3664 technical studies in the field of temporary permitting, , 4120 different technical studies and 3 studies of production requirements.
He pointed out in a statement today that the control of the factories contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of the Egyptian product and confronting all methods of fraud and circulation of harmful and non-conforming products. He stressed the keenness of the Department to follow up the factories' commitment to apply the Egyptian and international standards, in line with the plan and directions of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, And maintain consumer health and safety.
In the area of accreditation and licensing, Al-Manstrali explained that the Authority has licensed 1601 steam boilers and heat machines, approved 364 service and maintenance centers (after sales services) and registered 27 printing presses in the field of packaging materials.
The head of the Industrial Control Department added that the department has responded through 1045 inquiries and 417 complaints through the Citizen Service Guide Unit.
