Governor of the Red Sea receives the British Ambassador to discuss ways to increase the rates of English tourism
Major General Ahmad Abdullah, Red Sea Governor, received British Ambassador to Egypt Geoffrey Adams to discuss ways to increase the number of British tourists coming to resorts in the Red Sea.
The Governor welcomed the British Ambassador and his accompanying delegation, stressing the depth of the historical relations between Egypt and Britain, pointing to the existence of many investment projects in various Egyptian cities.
He added that the Red Sea has 86 thousand hotel rooms along its coasts, noting that the province contains many religious shrines and nature reserves, in addition to the presence of two international airports, and Another airport is currently being built south of Marsa Alam.
He also stressed that the Red Sea is working to maintain the ecological balance between wildlife and marine, pointing out that our main power plants rely on the clean energy of solar energy and wind energy.
The governor pointed out that the road network in the various cities of the province has been developed, and the roads linking the neighboring governorates with the aim of improving the level of service provided by tourists, and the ease of navigation and enjoyment of the archaeological areas in Luxor and Cairo.
For his part, the Ambassador expressed his great pleasure to visit the charming city of Hurghada, thanking the Governor for his warm welcome and hospitality, adding that he will do his utmost to increase the number of British tourists coming to the coastal province.
At the end of the meeting, the British Ambassador and his accompanying delegation presented the Provincial Shield and some souvenirs.
