Governor of Qena: Supply 109 thousand and 682 tons of wheat silos and Shoun governorate
Major General Abdul Hamid Al-Hagan, Governor of Qena, confirmed his regular follow-up to the supply of wheat to Silwan and Shoun governorate to ensure regularity without any obstacles. He pointed out that so far 109 thousand and 682 tons of wheat have been supplied, pointing out that the governorate aims to receive 190 thousand tons of wheat during the season The current supply, which began on April 15, will last until July 15.
Al-Hajan said that a committee comprising a representative from the Ministry of Supply, Agriculture and the Export and Import Control Authority was formed to receive the wheat in the storage sites and to determine the purity and then the price of the rice. The price of the Ardab is 685 pounds for purity of 23.5 carats and 670 pounds for purity of 23 carats and 655 pounds. Purity 22.5 carats as specified by the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade at the beginning of the season of supply of current wheat, stressing that the receipt of wheat varieties of less than 22.5 carats.
The governor of Qena stressed the provision of all facilities to farmers during the procurement process with the obligation to pay all their dues as soon as possible, in the context of ensuring a competitive environment to attract farmers and supply the largest possible amount of wheat crop.
For his part, Ahmed al-Sayed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Qena said that the quantities of wheat supplied to Shun and silos of the province, which amounted to 109 thousand and 682 tons distributed as follows 55 thousand and 859 tons were supplied to Shun and silos belonging to Upper Egypt Flour Mills and 53 thousand and 686 tons were supplied to the silos of the Egyptian company Holding of silos and storage and 137 tons were supplied to the Shoun of the Agricultural Bank.
