Governor of Qalioubia discusses the construction and processing of intermediate stations for garbage collection

During a meeting with a delegation from the Arab Organization for Industrialization, Dr. Alaa Abdel-Halim Marzouq discussed with the delegation of the Arab Organization for Industrialization the joint cooperation to establish and equip a number of intermediate stations for garbage collection in the governorate's efforts to eliminate the garbage problem.

For his part, the governor of Qalioubia said that the Authority is implementing the designs and supervision of the implementation and the necessary work, from infrastructure work and purchase of the equipment necessary for the implementation of these works, during a specific time program to ensure the accumulation of waste after lifting and the existence of an intermediate station to collect the waste, Of the random accumulation of waste, noting that the province seeks to activate the system of waste management work in cooperation with the partners.

It is worth mentioning that the province of Qalyubiya ended the construction of three intermediate stations in the cities of Tukh and in particular and Shubra Al-Khaimah, where the Governor asked to cooperate with the Authority in supplying the stations with the equipment necessary to operate.

For their part, the delegation of the Arab Organization for Industrialization confirmed that the Authority's participation in the implementation of the integrated waste management system comes within the framework of the implementation of the comprehensive development plans in the country and attention to the final disposal of the waste through the provision of equipment and means of transport and participation in the construction of landfills and intermediate stations.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Eman Ryan, Islam Rajab, Director of Urban Development Unit and Al-Amlaiyat, and Mohamed Fawzi, Director of the Technical Office in the Governorate.
