Government: Amend the regulation of the conduct of activities related to maritime transport
The Council of Ministers approved a draft resolution amending the Regulation of the Regulation of Activities and Works Related to Maritime Transport and the Right of Use Contracts issued by the Minister of Transport Decree No. 800 of 2016. The amendments included obligating the licensee to provide insurance of LE 5,000 in cash or under an unconditional bank guarantee letter to the Port Authority The specialist shall respond immediately after the license has expired.
The amendments also indicate that the license applicant will pay for the issuance or renewal of the license to carry out marine works and marine supplies. The amount of LE 1000 per activity will be paid separately.
The duration of the exploitation of the projects that included the establishment of facilities at the expense of the licensee shall be determined in accordance with an agreement concluded with the competent port authority in accordance with the volume of investments pumped into the project, which may require feasibility studies as determined by the board of directors of the competent port authority.
