"Global Tourism": Stability and promotion campaigns have revived tourism in Egypt

The World Tourism Organization [WTO] said in its report on the tourism movement in the first quarter of 2019 that the increased stability in Egypt and the recent government campaigns to boost tourism in Egypt have helped the hotel sector and the tourism sector in general to recover in Egypt.
According to the report issued by the organization, this coincided with the Egyptian government's efforts to attract visitors from Asia and Latin America, which is considered a high-spending tourism, pointing out that Egypt achieved 2018 strong recovery in tourism by 49%.
The report noted that Africa's key performance measures in the first quarter of 2019 have increased, but with clear differences between North Africa, including Egypt, which showed strong growth across all metrics. Africa recorded a 4% rise in hotels in February Under construction, and an 82% increase in hotels in the final planning phase.
The report showed that the Middle East region continued to grow in the first quarter of 2019 with growth of 8%, followed by Asia and the Pacific with 6% growth, Europe and Africa with growth of 4%, and the Americas with growth of 3% %.
