Facebook develops intelligent robots capable of feeling and thinking
Facebook today unveiled new details on three additional research areas under development that could ultimately lead to the development of better artificial intelligence with greater capabilities. A team of researchers from the company's AI research team FAIR "Much of our work in robotics focuses on self-supervised learning, where systems learn directly from primary data so that they can adapt to new tasks and conditions."
"In the field of robots, we are developing a number of technologies to enable robots to teach themselves through trial and error using direct inputs of sensors," the team added.

Specifically, the team was trying to teach a six-legged robot how to teach itself to serve external help. Roberto Calandra, FAIR : In general, the movement is a very difficult task in the field of robots, which makes it very exciting from our point of view. We have been able to design AI algorithms and actually test them on a really difficult problem and we do not know how to solve them. "
Initially, the robot was provided with a lack of understanding of its surroundings, but using the learning algorithm, the robot slowly identified a controller that would help it achieve its goal of forward movement. The robot could monitor the information it collects and improve its behavior over time. With its robot, it performed better.
