The Board of Directors of EGX announced that it was decided to suspend trading on the shares of Univert Food Industries, as of the beginning of the trading session on Sunday, based on the provisions of Article 74 of the executive procedures on procedures to write off the company's shares, In accordance with the rules of registration and cancellation of securities and the decision of the Committee to write off them.
The Egyptian Stock Exchange has announced the progress of the legal representative of Univert Food Industries, a request to write off the company's registration number of 89.8 million shares nominal value per share of the stock exchange tables optionally, in implementation of the resolution of the extraordinary general assembly last April.
The bourse added in an earlier statement that the optional write-off procedures are being completed to present the request to the registration committee and to execute the purchase of shares of all shareholders affected by the optional write-off, including the dissenters as well as the creditors and other shareholders. .
30 companies in the short silling list
The Egyptian Stock Exchange [EGX] announced the list of securities allowed to carry out borrowing activity for the purpose of selling on it, in accordance with the stock exchange standards in this regard. The list included 30 companies.
Mohamed Farid, the head of the stock exchange, issued a decision on the selection criteria for securities allowed to carry out transactions of borrowing securities for sale, in order to meet all the requirements for the speed of activation of the new mechanism to enhance liquidity and circulation in the market.
The stock market was based on 7 criteria for selecting the new mechanism's eligible securities after examining the best international standards and practices in this regard, including the free market capitalization of trading shares, trading days, average daily brokerage companies, average daily turnover of the company's shares and the average daily trading value.
The stock exchange is worth LE 6.7 billion
The Egyptian Stock Exchange ended the week's trading session with a collective rise of all indices driven by buying from Egyptian dealers. The market capitalization rose by 6.7 billion pounds to close at 758.322 billion pounds.
The volume of trading on the shares amounted to 115 million securities worth 378.2 million pounds, through the implementation of 13.9 thousand transactions for 161 companies, the Egyptians accounted for 68.5% of the total transactions, while foreigners accounted for 20.61% and Arabs at 10.89% during today's trading session, and acquired Institutions accounted for 41.30% of the transactions on the stock exchange. The rest of the transactions were for individuals at 58.69%.
The net transactions of individuals and Arab and foreign institutions for sale amounted to EGP 1.4 million, EGP 1.6 million, EGP 17.4 million and EGP 61.7 million respectively, while net transactions of Egyptian individuals and institutions were EGP 22.8 million, EGP 56.1 million respectively.
The "EGX30" index rose 1.49% to close at 13981 points, the index of "EGX 50" by 1.53% to close at 2105 points, and the index "EGX 30 weights" by 1.55% to close at 17436 points.
On the other hand, the EGX70 index rose by 0.31% to close at 605 points. The EGX 100 index increased by 0.5% to close at 1544 points. The Nile Stock Exchange index fell by 0.15% to close at 453 points.
Shares of 95 listed companies closed at the close of trading, 18 companies fell, and 48 companies remained unchanged.
