The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) diversified during the trading session on Thursday, 16-5-2019. Stop trading 22 companies

EGX decided to suspend trading on the shares of 22 companies for 10 minutes to exceed 5% during today's session.

The companies that have been suspended are Cairo Investment & Real Estate Development, Pyramisa Hotels & Tourist Villages, Mohandes Insurance, Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals, Remco for Touristic Villages Construction, Egyptian Starch & Glucose Industries, Alexandria Pharmaceutical & Chemical Industries, Arab Ceramics – Ceramica Rimas, – Abico, paints and chemical industries – Pachin.

Al-Obour Real Estate Investment, Kafr El-Zayat Pesticides, Delta Construction & Development, Juhayna Food Industries, Arab Food Industries, Domte, Egyptian Financial & Industrial, National Real Estate Bank Egyptian Iron & Steel, Egypt Aluminum.

The stock exchange is losing 6.8 billion pounds

The Egyptian Stock Exchange ended Thursday's session with a collective decline of all indicators under selling pressures from foreign institutions. The market capitalization declined by 6.8 billion pounds to close at 748.948 billion pounds.

The volume of trading on the shares amounted to 78 million securities worth 399 million pounds, through the implementation of 13.4 thousand transactions for 170 companies, the transactions of Egyptians 56.5% of the total transactions, while foreigners accounted for 36.53%, and Arabs at 6.97% during today's trading session, and acquired Institutions accounted for 55.93% of the transactions on the stock exchange. The rest of the transactions were for individuals at 44.06%.

Foreign investors netted EGP 40.6 million worth of transactions, while Egyptian, Arab, foreign and Egyptian and Arab investors netted EGP 5.1 million, EGP 14.4 million, EGP 3.6 million, EGP 14.6 million and EGP 2.9 million respectively.

The EGX30 index declined by 1.08% to close at 13659 points. The EGX 50 index fell 1.12% to close at 2053 points. The EGX 30 index of weights decreased by 0.99% to close at 16910 points.

On the other hand, the EGX70 index declined by 1.06% to close at 608 points. The EGX 100 index shed 1.11% to close at 1546 points. The Nile index fell 0.27% to close at 457 points.

Shares of 28 listed companies closed at the close of trading, and 101 companies declined, and 41 companies remained unchanged.

Public associations

The Listing Committee of the Egyptian Stock Exchange decided yesterday to alert 12 companies to comply with the provisions of Article 31 of the Listing and Deletion Rules of the Egyptian Stock Exchange and Article 45 of the future executive procedures.

Among the companies listed are Palm Hills Development Company, Talaat Moustafa Group Holding, Edita Food Industries, Egyptian Satellite (NileSat), International Finance Leasing Company (Incolease), Al Shams Housing & Development, Arab Ceramics (Ceramica Rimas) Arab Real Estate, Golden Tex Wool, Suez Bags, Egyptian Media Production City.

Article 31 of the Listing Rules of the Stock Exchange stipulates that the company bound by the securities of the Egyptian Stock Exchange shall submit to the Authority and the Stock Exchange the resolutions of the Ordinary General Assembly and the Extraordinary General Assembly upon its expiry and at the latest before the commencement of the first trading session following the end of the meeting. The Company shall also submit to the Stock Exchange within one The General Assembly shall convene the minutes, provided that it is approved by the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The Company shall be obliged to provide the Stock Exchange with the minutes of the General Assembly meetings approved by the competent administrative authority within a period not exceeding 3 working days from the date of its receipt. The Stock Exchange shall be obliged to publish the above mentioned resolutions and minutes as soon as they appear on the trading screens and on the website of the Stock Exchange.
