Egyptian-Chinese talks in the field of communication and AI
Ministry of Communications and Information Technology held a number of meetings with a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China MIIT And the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology(CAICT) And the China Institute of Electronics Standardization, during the visit of the delegation to Egypt from May 26 to 27, in the framework of the activation of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries in April, during the participation of an Egyptian delegation in the second summit of the Beijing Road and Belt Forum.
The meetings dealt with the promotion of joint cooperation in the field of communications and information technology and discussed a number of topics of mutual interest, including the design and implementation of smart cities, upgrading the infrastructure of communications, digital transformation, artificial intelligence,.
During the intensive meetings between the two sides, the Chinese delegation reviewed the activities of the China Academy of ICT and the China Institute of Electronics Standardization. The Chinese side also introduced a mechanism for implementation of the memorandum of understanding, including the formation of a joint working group, Scenarios for areas of cooperation in the coming period.
The meetings also witnessed the agreement to discuss proposals for cooperation in the field of capacity building in AI, the Internet of things and the mass chain. The Chinese side introduced educational programs for young Egyptian cadres in seven specialized universities in China. They also have specialized programs for education in the fields of artificial intelligence,.
The Egyptian side called on the Chinese delegation to cooperate in the implementation of a training program for graduates in data science in various fields, as well as a joint research and development program, as well as exchange of experiences in this field.
The future aspects of cooperation in artificial intelligence were also discussed. A Chinese delegation will visit Egypt to discuss cooperation in this field. The two sides also discussed future cooperation in the field of capacity building in the design and manufacture of electronics, high-speed Internet, The field of artificial intelligence.
The visit of the Chinese delegation also witnessed a number of meetings with the NTRA and Telecom Egypt.

The delegation was attended by Chinese delegation Kai Zhenj, director of the Asia and Africa Division of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Wei Liang, director of information security research at the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology; Hui Chen, deputy director of industry research and planning; Li is Senior Engineer in Industry Research and Planning Academy.
