Dubai received 3.14 million tourists in January and February
The tourism indicators of the Expedia Group show that Dubai received 3.14 million tourists in January and February of this year compared to the same period last year, which received 3.05 million tourists, while in 2017 received 3.01 million tourists and in 2016 about 2.68 million tourists.
Expedia indicators indicated that UAE airports received 129 million passengers last year, a 2% growth, compared to 126.5 million passengers in 2017, according to the General Authority of Civil Aviation.
The UAE has maintained its position as the best destination for European tourists in the GCC region, with an estimated 8.3 million tourists by 2023, according to the UAE daily Al Ain.
The number of tourists from the United Kingdom and France is the number of European travel reservations to the UAE in the first quarter of this year 2019. France has seen an annual increase in travel bookings by 40% compared to the same period last year.
While the United Kingdom saw an annual increase in travel bookings by about 15% of tourists based on the participation of hotel rooms and an annual increase rate of 5%.
The data showed a significant growth in the number of booking packages for travelers coming from Ireland with an annual increase of 40%, followed by Sweden with an annual increase of 30%.
