Cooperation between Egypt and China in the areas of artificial intelligence, space science and renewable energy
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, together with the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, has discussed promoting cooperation between the two countries in common areas such as AI, large data, space science, remote sensing, agriculture, water, new and renewable energy and combating desertification.
During the meeting held on the sidelines of the international conference organized by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China entitled "Artificial Intelligence and Education", in cooperation with UNESCO and the Beijing Municipal Government, the results of the eighth meeting of the Joint Committee held in Egypt in 2018, Will be established in China during 2020, as well as localization and transfer of technology, and the exchange of faculty members and researchers.
Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang stressed the depth of the cooperation ties between the two sides and expressed the hope that further cooperation agreements would be concluded in the coming period between Egyptian and Chinese educational institutions in the field of scientific research.
The meeting was attended by Wei Dongfai, Director-General of the International Cooperation Department, Xu Yong, Director-General of the Strategic Planning Division, Wen Yongping, Minister's Advisor to the International Cooperation Department, Wang Xiaoy, Director of International Cooperation Department and Liu Jia, Deputy Director of International Cooperation.
