Announced today the establishment of the first founding session of the Cairo International Biennale for Child Art through the Fine Arts Sector and in cooperation with the Amasia Art Education Association – Africa and the Middle East. It is scheduled to accept applications for participation until July 1 for the age group from 4 years to 18 years and also all children with special abilities under the age of 18.
Dr. Khaled Sorour, President of the Fine Arts Sector, said that the theme of the founding session of the Cairo International Children's Art Biennale "My Preferred Place" invites the children of the world to express their dreams, aspirations and feelings.
And on the conditions of participation, Dr. Soria Sedqi, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Biennial, stated that no one should help the child to produce his creative work so as to achieve the value of intellectual origin and to provide one artistic work with the opportunity to provide collective artistic work with the applicant's interest in explaining the reason for choosing the place to portray the child's perception of the world. And the ability to pay attention and scrutiny in research and observation in addition to the disclosure of the element of imagination, which is one of the most important features of the arts of the child.
Dr. Ahmed Hatem, General Coordinator, said that the registration form is available through the Education Directorate of the Ministry of Education, accompanied by a personal picture of the creator of the artwork. The conditions of participation provided the opportunity for young artists to choose materials that they can use such as oil paints, , Water colors, inks, colored leaves, ceramics and ceramics, in addition to digital photography and all fields of expression are permitted (drawing – photography – collage – engraving – sculpture – stereotyped – media arts – Swair photographic).
The conditions also include the provision of printed images of the works, whether colored or black and white, and that the area of individual works two-dimensional not less than 70 cm x 50 cm and not more than 50 cm x 35 cm, the area of individual works three-dimensional (models) Not less than 15 cm and not more than 50 cm and the area of the collective work of two dimensions not less than 140 cm x 100 cm and not more than 280 x 100 cm, the area of collective works of three dimensions should not be less than 50 cm and not more than 100 cm.
The work of the group is presented in a cylindrical form and a copy of the registration form is attached to it. The Biennial Administration is entitled to use the works of art in the booklets for the conference and cultural purposes.
The prizes are awarded for 6 works, including a certificate from the Fine Arts Sector and commemorative medals. The top three contestants are selected from the special categories. The collection includes a selection of works of art in the design of the Biennial Catalog and other publications.
