Board of Trustees of New Cairo discusses solutions to traffic and security problems and street vendors

Dr. Mohamed Saad El-Din, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of New Cairo, said that there is no negligence in implementing all decisions that serve the residents of the city to protect their lives and provide decent and safe living for them.

The head of the Board of Trustees confirmed that an emergency meeting was held several days ago with Major General Khaled Gad, Deputy Director of Security for New Cairo, and traffic leaders in New Cairo to end the crisis of traffic lights. The latter requested consultants to conduct a comprehensive survey of all axes and streets of the city.

Saad Al-Din said that he is in the process of defining a meeting with the interior and housing ministries to reach radical solutions to implement the decisions of the Board of Trustees and to address the bureaucracy and routine that impede the implementation of all decisions that serve the city and its residents.

For his part, Eng. Adel Al-Najjar, Chief Executive of the New Cairo City, said that he would strike with an iron hand to remove all irregularities that distort the civilized form of the new Cairo and cooperate with the utmost effort in implementing the decisions of the Board of Trustees. The streets in specific places rather than on the streets.

The board of trustees formed a committee comprising members of the council and the executive body to study the needs of all services agencies in the city to try to bridge the city's deficit in services.

On the other hand, Dr. Ibrahim Hegazy, MP from New Cairo, asked the Board of Trustees to draw up a strategic plan for the city focusing on six axes: security, hygiene, health care, basic education, urban planning, parks and parks.

The total number of decisions taken by the Board of Trustees has so far surpassed the 100-decision mark that includes all service aspects of health, education, security, traffic, cleanliness and the like, with total funds approaching LE 200 million.
