MADRID: Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asencio has sent a message to the royal fans after a disastrous season by the king.

The Real Madrid team came out of the final season without any championship because of the deterioration of the results and a number of internal crises and multiple coaches. They lost the title of the Spanish league and the third place in the table of the Liga competition, then the King's Cup and finally the humiliating exit from the Champions League against Ajax.

"A difficult and complicated season is over, so far away from the level that the fans deserve, but we will wake up and improve, and we will do everything in our power to have the Madridis next season," said Asencio through his Twitter account.

Marco Ascencio has been in his worst season for Real Madrid because of a series of injuries throughout the season that has led to his absence in a large number of matches.
