Agreement on mutual exemption of diplomatic visas with Lithuania in Parliament

A joint committee of the Foreign Relations Committee and the Bureau of the Defense Committee after the Eid will discuss an agreement between the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Lithuania on mutual exemption from the visa requirement for holders of diplomatic passports signed at Sharm el-Shubak on 25/2/2019. The Arab Republic of Egypt No. 183 of 2019.

The agreement aims at facilitating entry and exit procedures for citizens of the two countries with diplomatic passports in force through international entry points without a visa and staying in the territory of the other party for a period of not more than 90 days provided that they do not carry out any paid activities during their stay.

According to the agreement, each party reserves the right to deny entry or residence to citizens of the other party for reasons of national security, public order or public health, as well as the right to shorten or terminate the period of residence of any of these citizens according to the rules and laws of future countries

The agreement stipulates that the application of this agreement may be suspended temporarily, in whole or in part, by one of the parties for reasons of national security, public order or public health
