As part of the efforts of the security services to combat the crimes of forgery of the official documents, the security services succeeded in arresting two people in Cairo, Kuna, a gang that specializes in forging traffic documents.

The information and investigations of the Department of Traffic Investigation at the Cairo Security Directorate confirmed the involvement of two persons, who were in the Department of Gamaliya Police Department in falsifying traffic documents, driving licenses, running and selling them to their clients.

In the following lines we observe the punishment awaiting the accused :

The Penal Code set forth the penalty for such crimes in several articles of the law, ranging from one year to five years in prison, as stated in articles 206 to 210 of the Egyptian Penal Code.

Article 206 of the law stipulates that anyone who imitates or falsifies any of the following things, whether by himself or by others, as well as anyone who uses these things or introduces them in the Egyptian countries, knowing that they are imitated or falsified,:

1. A public order, law, decree or decision issued by the Government, the seal of the State or the signature or seal of the President of the Republic.

2. The seals or marks of one of the departments or of one of the government authorities are the stamp, signature or mark of a government employee.

3- Salary, bonus, bond or other bonds issued by the government treasury or its branches.

4 – Impurities of gold or silver.

Article 206 bis of the law stipulates that imprisonment for a period not exceeding five years shall be punishable for the offenses mentioned in the preceding article if they are stamped, stamped or marked by a joint stock company or a cooperative association or trade union established in accordance with the conditions established by law, Which are generally considered legally beneficial.

The penalty shall be imprisonment for a period not exceeding seven years if the seals, stamps or marks in respect of which any of the offenses set out in the preceding paragraph have been committed are for an institution, company, association, organization or establishment if the State or a public body contributes to its share in any capacity whatsoever.

Article 207 stipulates that any person who unlawfully obtained seals, stamps or real marks of a governmental interest or a public administration or one of the bodies mentioned in the preceding article shall be punished with imprisonment without any right, and shall use it in a manner that is detrimental to a public or private interest.

Article 208 stipulates that any person who imposes a stamp, stamp or mark of any party or companies authorized by the government or a commercial house, as well as those who use any of the said items with his knowledge of their tradition, shall be punished by imprisonment..

Article 209 of the Penal Code stipulates that a person who unlawfully obtained seals, stamps or real ammunition for one of the above mentioned types shall be punished by imprisonment for a period of not more than two years, and shall use them in a harmful manner in any public interest, commercial company or any department of the citizens..

Article 210 also stipulates that persons who commit such offenses shall be exempted from punishment if they inform the Government of these crimes before they are completed, and before attempting to search for them, identify them with their other activists or facilitate their arrest, even after the commencement of such research.
