Coming soon for the novel "The Child's Law" by British writer Ian McKayan, which became the 2017 film in the same title, translated into Arabic by Iman Haraz Allah.
The Children's Code, first published on September 2, 2014, is a reference to the 1989 Children's Act, a UK law.
"For religious reasons, a seventeen-year-old boy refuses medical treatment that can save his life, although the time is running out," said the author of the novel, "Fiona Mae, a prominent Supreme Court judge who is known for her cruel intelligence and sensitivity."
The judge visits the boy in the hospital – a meeting that evokes long destructive feelings in her and strong new emotions in the boy. But it is Fiona who must ultimately decide whether he will live or die, and her judgment will have dire consequences for them.
