A year's imprisonment for a driver of a public transport bus exceeding an officer who prevented him from raising the fare

The Cairo Criminal Court, held in the fifth assembly, sentenced a driver of the Public Transport Authority to one year in jail for assaulting a police officer.
The Cairo Criminal Court sentenced the defendant in absentia to 10 years' imprisonment, but his lawyer, Nabil Ishaq, filed a request for retrial, nullifying investigations by the mabahith and not conceiving the incident.
According to the investigations, a passenger of the bus used an officer and complained to him to prevent the driver from doubling the fare. The officer spoke to the driver to prevent the taxi from being raised. There was a verbal exchange between the two sides, The driver took his weapon and fired shots from him in the air. Police forces moved the new Cairo section to the scene. The driver was arrested to order the new Cairo prosecutor to imprison the defendant and refer him to the criminal court.
