A new crisis is facing Istanbul's new airport after Erdogan's inauguration
The new Istanbul airport, inaugurated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has received a new blow. The Turkish newspaper Zaman reported that despite the promises made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's government, the new Istanbul airport will be a key pillar in Turkey's development process. , But reality does not give any indication.
The latest problem of the airport, which opened last April after a repeated delay, was the transfer of several flights to an airport far from Istanbul.
The newspaper pointed out that the Turkish opposition this week saw the transfer of flights to Istanbul from Berlin, Basel, Gothenburg, Marseille and others, to Chorlo Airport, 96 kilometers west of the new airport, after weather conditions make it impossible to land in the original destination.
