The quality committees of the House of Representatives will discuss the draft general budget for the new fiscal year 2019/2020 – each committee in light of its competencies, including the health affairs committee that discusses budgets of health and population sectors and bodies, including the National Authority for Drug Control and Research.

The total budget of the National Organization for Drug Control and Research for the fiscal year 2019/2020 amounted to 256 million and 752 thousand pounds, which is greater than the budget of the current fiscal year 2018/2019, estimated at 219 million and 735 thousand pounds.

The draft budget of the National Authority for Drug Control and Research included allocating 115 million and 338 thousand pounds for wages and compensation of employees, allocating 23 million and 788 thousand pounds for the purchase of goods and services, 389 thousand pounds for support, grants and social benefits, 8 million for other expenditure items, 109 million and 152 thousand pounds for Non-financial assets (investments).

While the total estimated revenues for the fiscal year 2019/2020 amounted to 87 million and 971 thousand pounds, with a deficit funded from the treasury of 168 million and 781 thousand pounds.
