19 years with 105 million pounds .. Manchester United is preparing the most expensive deal in its history
Manchester United appear to be on the verge of breaking the biggest deal in the history of the transfer market in the summer to restore their lost prestige within the Premiership.
According to the Sun newspaper, United are ready to push the penalty clause in the contract for Benfica striker Joao Felix to be included in the summer transfer window. The penalty clause in Felix's 19-year contract with Benfica is 105 million pounds.
The most expensive deal in Britain's history today was for Manchester United's Paul Bojba, who has moved from Juventus for three seasons to 89 million.
The signing of Benfica's star comes within the desire of United manager Gunnar Solskjaer to rearrange the cards at Old Trafford.
The young Benfica star is one of the top names in the summer transfer market, with more than one of Europe's giants showing interest in Manchester City, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
