17 bakeries were set up to produce non-standard bread and flour smuggling supported by the lake
The security services in the lake, led by Major General Majdi al-Qamari, the security director, launched an intensive campaign to control the markets and confront the smuggling of subsidized foodstuffs and fertilizers to the black market in cooperation with the Directorate of Supply.
The campaign was overseen by Major General Mohammad Hindi, Director of Criminal Investigation, Engineer Kamal Rashid, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, Col. Wajdi Al Sirafi, Director of Supply Investigation, and Samir Al Balkimi, Head of Commercial Control Department.
The campaign resulted in the seizure of 17 bakeries in the centers of Kom Hamada and Damanhour for the production of low-weight and non-conforming bread, as well as the accumulation of subsidized flour for resale on the black market for profit and illegal gain.
The necessary minutes were released, including the release of a closing record of a bakery in the center of the Delengat, in preparation for referral to the Public Prosecutor's Office for the investigation.
