Cairo Governorate: Remove 85 properties in the emergency canal area and housing owners Ahhalina project
The Governor of Cairo, Major General Khaled Abdel-Al, confirmed that the governorate continues its efforts to develop the slums and provide a safe and dignified life for the citizens. To establish an emergency canal axis linking the Ring of Peace with the Suez Bridge and implemented by the Engineering Corps of the Armed Forces to serve the population of the region .
For his part, Ibrahim Saber, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, said that 60 meters of depth have been removed, 69 properties and 16 penthouses have been removed, as well as more than 300 properties since the start of the development project. .
The deputy governor said that the area of the emergency canal in eastern Cairo from the slums that have been attacked by some citizens for decades on the campus canal as well as the campus of the railway, either by building tents and random rooms or the erection of dozens of buildings without planning or licenses.
Saber pointed out that the scheme of development of the region depends on the filling of the wind and re-exploitation as a parallel road to the axis of the Suez Bridge with a length of 9 km, and connects the Suez Bridge to the road of peace – Belbeis, which contributes to improving traffic traffic in this direction and easing traffic pressure on the Suez bridge axis, .
