They were killed in 15 seconds. Two separate towers in China were blown up with 1.1 tons of explosives
On Wednesday, China's Zhengzhou City witnessed the explosion of two 20-storey offenders, using 1.1 tons of dynamite.
The tower is 20 stories tall and has been blown up within 15 seconds after being left untouched for nine years.
Reports pointed out that there are many illegal buildings such as these in China, where they were built without planning or doing breaking rules during the construction process.

The blast occurred near a busy crossroads in Zhengzhou City, central China's Henan Province, and the towers were built eight meters apart. The authorities ordered the project to be halted, but the report did not explain why the buildings were illegal.

Zhengzhou City planners said on Wednesday that the buildings had been earmarked for demolition to make room for a new project launched by the government.

The blast used the largest amount of dynamite in residential projects in Zhengzhou City, said Fang Gifu, chief engineer of the demolition project, that the amount was seven times what we used to blow up the rocks.

The workers dug 7263,000 holes on structures laying 1,176 tons of dynamite, 9,160 detonators and dug trenches around the site in an attempt to limit the impact on nearby buildings.
