Planning: LE 149 million for local development programs in governorates

The Ministry of Planning, Follow-up and Reform adopted the administration, 149 million pounds for the requirements of a number of members of the House of Representatives for local development programs in the governorates of the Republic, within the plan for the current financial year 2018/2019.

The ministry said in a statement on Sunday that the amount includes about 18 million pounds for projects Giza Governorate, 14 million pounds for the province of Cairo to cover 8 projects, as well as 14 million pounds for the province of Sharkia and 12 million for Dakahlia, in addition to 11 million pounds for the six projects of the province of Qalioubia, LE 11 million for Sohag Governorate and LE 9 million for Gharbia Governorate, where the remaining amount is distributed to other governorates' projects.

The statement pointed out that the approved amount came within the framework of the Ministry's keenness to implement local development programs in the governorates to meet the needs of citizens, thus facilitating their way of life. He pointed out that the most prominent projects were the paving projects at a cost of LE 61 million, one million pound.

The ministry stressed in its statement that the government is interested in supporting local development projects due to its connection to the livelihoods of citizens from road, electricity and other networks, pointing out that the amount approved for the projects of local development programs at the governorate level comes within the framework of achieving spatial distribution justice according to governorates that require a number of necessary projects Finished.

The Ministry pointed out that all development programs fall within the framework of achieving the major development goals related to achieving the goals of sustainable development and related to the vision of Egypt 2030. It should be noted that the Ministry of Planning had approved the amount of 120 million pounds for a number of projects for the development of Aswan and Nasr Nubia, as well as the adoption of the amount of 193 million pounds for the province of Beni Suef within the program to target development gaps in the most needy villages in the province last April.
