Ajax defender Matthias de Liechte is close to joining Barcelona in the summer transfer period after the end of the season.

The newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" Catalan that all indicators are moving towards the transfer of Lechte to the ranks of Barcelona during the past period, but there is a crisis that may freeze the deal of the 19-year-old.

The newspaper said that the crisis that could lead to the failure of the transfer of De Leicht to Barcelona commission sought by the agent of the Dutch defender Mino Raiola, in addition to the request of De Leicht to take a huge salary more than agreed during the previous session of the club with his agent.

De Liechte's request for a huge salary in Barcelona was due to his high market value after receiving more than a serious offer in the recent period, as well as his brilliance with Ajax this season, especially in the Champions League.

The salary demanded by De Licht from Barcelona will exceed that of his teammate De Jong in January and will formally be with the team for the next period, the newspaper said.

But the management of Barcelona asked De Licht to sacrifice if he wanted to join the Catalan team and see him at Camp Nou with his teammate De Jong.
