General Manager of the Grand Museum: We saved $ 770 million from the cost of its construction

Major General Atef Miftah, the general supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum project and the surrounding area, said that more than $ 770 million has been saved from the cost of establishing the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Major General Atef Miftah explained that the cost of the large Egyptian museum is less than 30 times the cost of any of the world's museums, and we are keen on the state money spent on the museum.

Major General Atef Miftah added that the museum contains commercial activities in which we can spend what was spent on the museum, pointing out that the cost of the museum reaches 20 billion pounds.

For his part, Dr. Mustafa Waziri, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, pointed out that any museums in the world were not commercial projects, but basically a cultural project and enriched with the latest scientific methods used globally.
