Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Meit, approved a number of urgent offers amounting to 4 billion 500 million pounds for the month of April 2019 for ration goods, the National Railway Authority of Egypt and the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation to support these efforts to manage the needs of citizens.

The availability included 4 billion pounds for the General Authority for Supply Commodities value of monthly financial support for ration card items and differences of bread points and differences in the cost of baking bread for the month of April (it should be noted that the issuance of guarantees in the amount of $ 1357.9 million to buy 5230 thousand tons of imported wheat) To LE 98.5 million as contributions from the treasury in the capital of the Holding Company for Cotton, Spinning and Weaving in order to provide the necessary liquidity for the disbursement of employees' entitlements for the month of April 2019.

In addition, EGP 391.6 million was made available to the National Media Authority to enable it to fulfill its obligations towards employees in April 2019. The reserves also included LE 76.86 million, of which LE 56.5 million was allocated to the National Railways Authority as a subsidy for the student contributions and non-economic lines for the month of April 2019 and LE 17.36 million for the Egyptian Company for the expenditure of the student contributions for the month of April 2019 .
