MP Talaat al-Suwaidi, chairman of the Energy and Environment Committee of the House of Representatives, praised the statements made by Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity, in which he stressed that the signing of the electricity link agreement between Egypt, Cyprus and Greece includes the exchange of electricity capacity of 2000 megawatts and that the studies will be completed within one year.

The Chairman of the Energy Committee said in a statement today that Egypt under President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has become one of the most important countries in the entire Middle East in the field of energy and electricity supply and electricity interconnection projects at the Arab, African and international levels, stressing the importance of this agreement, The strategic plan to connect with neighboring countries, especially that Egypt has the capabilities and experience in the electricity sector is high "and we have links with Jordan, Libya and Sudan."

MP Talaat El-Sewedy stressed that there are many countries that have requested to benefit from the Egyptian experience and experience in the field of saving electricity, considering that it is a badge of honor on the issuance of all leaders, senior engineers, technicians and workers at the level of the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity who deserve a heartfelt greeting from the Egyptian people.
