Egypt Literary Conference selects chairman of 34th session Tuesday

The General Secretariat of the Literary Conference of Egypt at its thirty-fourth session will hold a press conference on Tuesday at the Grand Hotel in Cairo, in the presence of its Chairman Dr. Ahmed Awad.

The meeting agenda includes an open dialogue between the members of the Secretariat and the Chairman of the Board, on the sidelines of a breakfast party organized by the Commission for the members of the Secretariat. The meeting will also witness the selection of the President of the Conference at its new session, in addition to the proposed governorates to host the 34th session and the Egyptian Culture Capital of 2019, The Research Committee shall meet to select the main research focus of the Conference.

The last session of the Literary Conference of Egypt was held in Matruh Governorate, headed by Dr. Mustafa El-Fiki, President of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and the Secretariat of the poet Mohamed Aziz. The governorate was declared the first capital of Egyptian culture in 2019. "The creative landscape and the cultural map of Matrouh" deals with the customs, traditions and cultural heritage of the province.
