Egypt Air announces the resumption of flights to Abidjan in Ivory Coast

Egypt has announced that it will resume flights to Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, as of June 20, confirming its active role in the African continent and its serious steps in adding more points to its network of routes in the continent.

The decision comes within the ambitious plan set by the company, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, to expand on the African continent in a way that integrates with the other points of EgyptAir network through Cairo Air Airport, which is the northern gateway to Africa.

Ahmed Adel, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding, said: "We are confident that the airline will continue to develop its network, especially in the continent, by adding new points and frequencies to the continent." The announcement of the operation of Abidjan flights coincides with EgyptAir's sponsorship of the African Cup of Nations Cup (Egypt 2019) as the official carrier of the tournament, which will move the heroes and fans to their destination in Egypt.

For his part, Pilot Hassan Ashraf Al Khouli, Chairman of Egypt Air, said that the airline has decided to operate two weekly flights with Accra on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week starting on June 20th with the Boeing B737-800. Business-class personal screens and more spacious seats with economy class.
