Dubai stocks fell on the start of trading under the pressure of falling real estate and telecommunications shares

The general index of the Dubai Financial Market [DFM] was down 0.34%, or 8.93 points, to close at 2598.08.
Volume reached 83.1 million shares, with a total value of 96.3 million dirhams, through 1685 transactions of 27 shares. Meanwhile, 9 shares advanced, while 16 declined.
The real estate sector was the biggest loser, followed by the real estate sector [1.09%], followed by the services sector [0.57%], the insurance sector [0.39%], the telecommunications sector [0.20%]. The transport sector increased by 1.23% and the banking sector by 0.18%.
The top movers were Damac Properties [3.33%], Dubai Investment [2.38%], Al Safwa [9.89%] and Ithmaar Holdings [4.22%].
