Egyptian reports

The meeting of the General Secretariat of the Union of Arab Journalists decided to postpone the decision of the host country for the next General Conference of the Union until the meeting of the Permanent Bureau of the Union, scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Abdullah Al-Jahlan, secretary-general of the Saudi Press Agency, said it was due after the haj pilgrimage.

Diaa Rashwan, head of the Egyptian Journalists' Syndicate, called for Egypt to host the next conference of the Union of Arab Journalists, adding that Cairo would be the largest media platform to redefine the union.

"If the next conference is not like any conference, I will nominate Cairo, and if we get to the conference next year and the state of the union remains as it is, I will withdraw my nomination," Rashwan said during a speech to the meeting of the General Secretariat of the Union of Arab Journalists. .

"If we are talking about a new start to the union, I strongly urge the Arab Republic of Egypt to nominate the country that witnessed the first birth of the union to witness its second birth. The hosting will be comprehensive and will be at the expense of the Egyptian union," he said.
