Alexandria University: Providing maximum safety and support for students during exams

Dr. Hisham Jaber, Vice President of Alexandria University for Education and Student Affairs, addressed the faculty agents during the meeting of the Council of Education and Students Affairs this morning to the necessity of committing the university faculties to all the necessary controls and procedures to provide maximum safety and support for students during their exams for the end of the second semester 2018 / 2019, stressing the need to provide a suitable environment for conducting examinations in an easy and easy manner.

Dr. Mohamed Anwar Farraj, Dean of the Faculty of Education, reviewed the work of the first phase of the "Mawada" project in accordance with the protocol signed between the Ministries of Social Solidarity and Higher Education, in order to preserve the Egyptian family by supporting the next youth to marry. The teaching staff, trained 5,200 students, through the holding of training courses, education and awareness, to reduce the rise of the phenomenon of early divorce among Egyptian society.

Dr. Mohamed Bilal, Director of the Center for Career Development and Entrepreneurship reviewed a detailed report on the work of the Center from 1/7/2018 to 30/4/2019 in the number of students and graduates participating in the activities and distributing them to the colleges and partners of success with the Center and the cooperation. A report on the course of innovation and entrepreneurship as a graduate requirement for all university students, collaboration with Certiport and Pearson Foundation. The pilot phase was completed with 1012 students and 45 faculty members who became business leaders and 26 members were accredited as international trainers in the field of entrepreneurship.

The Council was informed of the recommendation of the Supreme Council of Universities to develop a comprehensive curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate studies every five years, linking it to the labor market, establishing technological education colleges within Egyptian public universities, including the IT curriculum in all faculties, To study foreign countries, who wish to equate their testimony with their counterpart from the Arab Republic of Egypt, in accordance with the regulations of the Supreme Council of Universities and apply them starting from the next academic year 2019/2020.

The Council also approved the proposal submitted by the Faculty of Commerce on the curriculum of the bachelor's degree and its conversion into the credit hours system. Both faculties of arts and sports education in Benin have submitted a project to develop their regulations into the credit hours system.

Next year, the University of Alexandria is the first Egyptian university to operate the credit hours system in all its faculties.
