The Local Management Committee of the House of Representatives, during its meeting held under the chairmanship of Eng. Ahmed Al-Sejini, will discuss the draft general budget and economic and social development plan for the fiscal year 2019/2020 with regard to Damietta Governorate budget.

The Ministry of Finance allocated a budget of 16 million and 950 thousand pounds to the General Authority of Damietta Governorate. According to budget estimates for the fiscal year 2019/2020, the revenue item amounted to 149 million and 872 thousand pounds, compared to the revenues approved in the current fiscal year at 108 million and 85 thousand pounds.

According to the draft budget of the province, the total budget estimated for the fiscal year 2019/2020 amounted to 663 million and 461 thousand pounds, the total expenditure amounted to 662 million and 222 thousand pounds, and allocated 177 million and 902 thousand pounds for wages and compensation workers, and 119 million and 770 thousand pounds for the purchase of goods and services.
