4 thousand and 600 traffic violations were set on highways throughout Egypt
The General Directorate of Traffic has directed several large-scale traffic campaigns throughout the Republic to achieve discipline, apply traffic laws and regulations to motorists, and control the offenders and deal with them according to the law.
Traffic control efforts and campaigns during the last 24 hours resulted in the seizure of 4,626 traffic violations, including 1678 violations exceeding scheduled speeds. The campaigns also seized 29 cases of driving under the influence of narcotics and took the necessary legal measures against the violators, while the branches of the administration in coordination with the various security services, their efforts and campaigns to control the security situation and ensure regularity of traffic.
