The Engineers Syndicate is preparing a conference on urban transport at the level of the Arab world
Eng. Mo'men Shafiq, treasurer of the General Union of Engineers, said that during the current period, the union is preparing to hold a conference on urban transport at the level of the Arab world, headed by Dr. Essam Sharaf, former prime minister.
Shafiq added that the conference aims to exchange experiences among the Arab countries members of the Arab Engineers Union in the field of urban transport, especially as Egypt is witnessing an important boom in the roads sector. The conference is expected to be held at the headquarters of the Union of Arab Engineers in Cairo.
He pointed out that a meeting of the Engineers Advisory Committee is scheduled to be held on 26 and 27 September in Amman, Jordan, as well as a meeting of representatives of the Office of the Union of Arab Engineers, which will be hosted by Lebanon in July, and the meeting of heads of engineering bodies in Tunisia On June 26, in coordination with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization [FAO], Education, Science and Culture [UNESCO] on agriculture and its relationship to engineering.
