A parliamentary delegation on Monday visited Abidine Palace in Cairo, where the delegation inspected the various halls and rooms of the various mansions after renovating and restoring a number of them and restoring them to their original historical condition.

The delegation included a number of heads and members of the Committee on Culture, Information and Antiquities, and the Committee on Tourism and Civil Aviation.

Abdeen Palace dates back to the 19th century. It was officially opened in 1874, and the palace of the rule of Egypt remained until the 1952 revolution. Khedive Ismail, Khedive Tawfiq, Khedive Abbas Helmy II, Sultan Hussein Kamel, King Fouad, Farouk is the last king of Egypt.

The visit is in support of archaeological and historical tourism, and the historic value of Egypt's presidential palaces is appreciated.

The Abidine Palace contains a number of rare artifacts and priceless collectibles.

The deputies expressed their admiration for the greatness and creativity of the palace, its unique architectural style, the beauty of its designs, its archaeological artifacts and the skill of the local artists, who were built more than 150 years ago by architects, architects and artists from several countries under the supervision of the French engineer Leon Rousseau.

The head of the Culture and Information Committee of the House of Representatives, Usama Heikal, said that Abidin Palace is part of Egypt's history and that the palace scene was much more beautiful than what the delegation expected before the visit.

Heikal explained that preserving the history and the different stages we saw today are important, and that what was most noticeable during the visit to the palace is the style used in furniture and architecture.

For his part, MP Amr Sidqi, Chairman of the Committee on Tourism and Civil Aviation in the House of Representatives expressed his happiness to visit the Palace, "Abdeen," noting that Egypt does not need quality, but needs to market.
