The governor of Alexandria is preparing a friendly match to test the stadium before the start of the African Championship
Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Governor of Alexandria, was keen to attend a friendly match between the Alexandria team for youth and the Sporting team, which will start shortly after the completion of its development and equipping, to find out how ready it is to receive the matches of the second group of the 2019 African Nations Championship, From June 21 to July 19.
The match will be attended by Amer Hussein, chairman of the competitions committee of the Egyptian Football Federation and Sherif Saad, head of Alexandria Stadium .
The President of the Republic, Eng. Sherif Ismail, Assistant to the President of the Republic for National and Strategic Projects, and Dr. Abdel Aziz Qanswa, Governor of Alexandria, visited the stadium and training grounds to be trained by the four teams, the club's clubs in Smouha, the Olympic Club, the Academy and Burj Al Arab. To host the tournament, and follow-up of the implementation of the development work and raise efficiency outside and inside the stadium and the facilities of sports and stadiums.
Alexandria Stadium hosts the Group B of the tournament, which includes Nigeria, Guinea, Burundi and Madagascar.
The tournament, which is hosted by Egypt, witnessed the presence of 24 teams in the tournament for the first time in its history. It is divided into 6 groups and qualified for the 16 th round, the first and second place for each group, in addition to the top 4 teams in third place.
