Joint file from Spain and Portugal to organize the 2030 World Cup

Press reports on the Spanish and Portuguese Federation plan for the joint organization of the 2030 World Cup.

The Spanish newspaper As reported that after bilateral negotiations between the Spanish and Portuguese Union was confirmed the start of a comprehensive analysis on the possibility of making a joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup.

She explained that Luis Rubalees, president of the Spanish Confederation and his Portuguese counterpart André Gomez, agreed to make a joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup, where the two sides believe it is time for the move.

The Spanish and Portuguese associations believe they meet the conditions for hosting the World Cup event with great guarantees from both governments. The 2030 World Cup has so far provided three offers from Morocco and a joint venture between Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile and a joint offer from Romania, Greece, Bulgaria and Serbia.

The 2022 World Cup will be held in Qatar, with the United States, Canada and Mexico participating in the 2026 World Cup.
