Engineer Mohammed Abdel Aati, head of the mechanics and electricity department inspected the water stations to find out the technical condition of the stations to confirm their readiness to meet the water needs in the season of maximum needs, follow-up of the existing work, the work progress and the regularity of the shifts throughout the day.
The stations of the Authority are divided into irrigation stations which raise the water for use in irrigation of agricultural lands and agricultural drainage stations, which take agricultural waste water for disposal or reuse by mixing in case of non-pollution.
Eng. Mohamed Abdel Aati, head of the mechanics and electricity department, said in a previous statement that the role of the Authority is the establishment and operation of irrigation and drainage stations. He pointed out that there are 836 stations in Makkah from Alexandria to Toshka.
He stressed that the Authority has recently expanded its self-employment through the manufacture of Umrah supplies for pumping stations units from poles, gates, gates, herb nets, etc. in the central workshops of the Department to provide the needs of stations and reduce the importation of foreign missions and the provision of foreign exchange and installation in the works of Umrah. And provided the provision of financial resources to the state estimated at about 18 million in the case of assigning to specialized companies. Electrical tests and periodic maintenance of (60) units were carried out by the engineering lab at a cost of Kadyria 350 thousand pounds by providing financial resources estimated at about 1.85 million pounds when assigned to companies.
