The Industry Committee of the House of Representatives approved during its meeting today under the chairmanship of Fawzi Fati on Article 43 of the draft law submitted by the government to amend the mineral wealth law.
According to the article, anyone who issued or participated in the issuance of a permit to establish or exploit a quarry on agricultural land or was reclaimed without the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture shall be punished with imprisonment or a fine.
Article 43, as approved by the Committee, stipulates: "A penalty of not less than one year's imprisonment and a fine of not less than two hundred thousand pounds shall be imposed and not exceeding one million pounds, or one of these penalties is issued or participated in issuing a license to establish or exploit a quarry on agricultural land or Shall be reclaimed without the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture. Whoever makes, uses, uses or operates the quarry shall be punished by the same penalty without the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The court rules to remove the infringing acts and confiscate the equipment and tools used to commit the crime.
