Governor of South Sinai: African Forum on Fighting Corruption will kick off next Wednesday
Major General Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, said that all preparations for the hosting of the first African Forum for Combating Corruption, scheduled to kick off on Wednesday under the title "Development begins with integrity" have been completed.
Jamal al-Suwailiya, head of Sharm el-Sheikh city, said that all the preparations for the conference hall were completed and provided with all possibilities for the launch of the conference, pointing out that the work of cleaning and street planning,
The Sharm El-Sheikh Airport Administration was also prepared to prepare for the reception of delegations participating in the conference from the moment they arrive at the airport to their accommodation, as well as securing them at the highest level through cooperation between the Directorate of Security and the Armed Forces.
Sharm El-Sheikh will host the first African anti-corruption forum for the next Wednesday and Thursday, with the participation of 51 countries, the presence of justice and interior ministers, heads of anti-corruption bodies, accountants and illicit gainers in African countries and more than 200 high-level African officials.
The forum reviews the national efforts to combat corruption in a number of countries in implementation of the continental and international commitments, including Egypt, Kenya, Burundi, Ghana and Zimbabwe, as well as the role of combating corruption in the continent and developing human resources capacities in various aspects of the fight. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Jordan are participating in the forum.
