Governor of Qena inspecting drinking water projects in Dashna and Farshout at a cost of 270 million pounds

The Governor of Qena, Major General Abdul Hamid Al-Hagan, toured the area to monitor the expansion of the Deshna water station and final finishing works at the Farshout water station. He stressed that the governorate is exerting no effort in establishing drinking water and sanitation projects.

In Qena, the Governor of Qena, accompanied by Major General Mujahid Faramawi, Chairman of Helwan Industrial Industries, the Arab Organization for Industrialization, inspected the expansion of the main drinking water station in Deshna, which will increase the capacity of the plant from 400 l / s to 800 l / s at a cost of LE 120 million To provide clean water to the people of the city and its villages on a regular basis throughout the day and throughout the year, especially in the summer.

In Farshout, Qena Governor continued the work of connecting the power line of the Farshout water station, which reaches a production capacity of 400 liters / second, pointing out that the power line with a voltage of 11 KV and a length of 6 km and a financial cost of 16 million pounds. The laying of the ground cables is completed by connecting the power line by installing a number of air towers.

It is worth mentioning that the plant will operate with water purification system at a total cost of 270 million pounds. It is planned to increase its efficiency in the future to reach its production capacity to 800 liters / second in order to meet the increasing demand for clean water due to the steady increase in the population.
