Alexander McQueen presents his men's collection for Spring 2020
Alexander McQueen decided to show the men's clothes in the form of a presentation, rather than on the Walk Walk, but the brand refused to give up the drama.
The Japanese luxury set, black lace, silver bullion and a series of black straps that seem to have been taken from the grass, first appeared in one of London's favorite places for the brand.
The show's background was created by the creative director of the Sarah Burton fashion house, a wood paneled room with a pianist in the corner. The collection was based on classic formal costumes, including a pink woolen fuchsia suit with a double lapel trompe l'oeil , A satin jacket encrusted with a thin black lace, and a set of specially designed jackets with silver bullion and crystal embroideries.
Hand-flowered flowers have appeared throughout the collection, with bright watercolors smudging with a long, lightweight leather coat or scatter of carefully cut flowers across the front of the suit..
Among the highlights were a lot of black coats with layers of ribbon-like ruffles on the skirt.
